Fraser Foundation Annual Charity Luncheon: September 2025

Hilary Knights our QLD Director, sponsored and attended the Fraser Foundation Annual Charity Luncheon again this year, joining an incredible community united by a shared passion for early childhood education.

The day was a reminder of the real impact scholarships have on aspiring educators, with powerful stories shared about how this support is changing lives and classrooms across Australia.
We also had the privilege of hearing from Briony Benjamin, whose story of resilience and hope left a lasting impression on everyone in the room.

Australian Institute of Business Brokers Annual Conference: September 2025

Our QLD Director Hilary Knights recently attended the AIBB – Australian Institute of Business Brokers Annual Conference.

The week kicked off with a CPD day for Registered Business Valuers, followed by two days of insightful conference sessions. Hilary had the chance to hear from inspiring speakers including Justin Jones, Erin Crawford, Michael Licenblat, Tobi Pearce, and Brett Goodyer – each bringing fresh ideas and perspectives to the industry.

It was also a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with colleagues, strengthen relationships with fellow RBVs, and make new connections within the business broking community. And of course, no trip would be complete without a little time to enjoy a winery or two in between!

Events like this highlight the strength of our industry and the commitment to raising standards in business broking and valuation nationwide.

ANZ Australia Childcare Sector Event: September 2025

QLD Director, Hilary Knights, was proud to present on behalf of ANZ Australia at their childcare sector events in Brisbane and Melbourne. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with centre owners and operators across Queensland and Victoria, sharing insights and building relationships that support the growth of our sector.

The Childcare Concepts NSW team attended the ACA NSW Inner Circle event – a highly informative and engaging evening that was enjoyed by a strong turnout of providers, suppliers, and ACA members. The event, chaired by ACA NSW President Lyn Connolly, featured a panel of key speakers including:

Mark Barraket (Deputy Secretary, NSW Department of Education)
Amy Birungi (R/NSW Children’s Guardian)
Nicholas Backo (A/NSW Regulatory Authority)

The well-organised and well-catered event provided valuable insights and sparked robust discussion.

ACA QLD National Conference – June 2025

Our QLD Director Hilary Knights attended the 2025 Australian Childcare Alliance Queensland National Conference, and what a fantastic weekend it was! Childcare Concepts was proud to once again sponsor the Approved Providers Luncheon, now in its eighth year running. This event continues to be a highlight on the early learning calendar, offering invaluable insights into the challenges, changes, and opportunities shaping our sector.

A big thank you to the ACA QLD for organising another thoughtful and impactful event, and to the incredible speakers who shared their expertise and updates across workforce, regulatory and sector-wide priorities.

As always, it was a pleasure connecting with so many of our clients and sector peers. See you all next year!

ACA NSW Suppliers’ Sector Insight Evening – May 2025

The Childcare Concepts NSW team recently attended the ACA NSW Suppliers & Sector Insight Evening – an engaging and informative event bringing together providers and sector professionals. Key topics included the worker retention payment and the Labor Government’s roadmap for early childhood education, sparking valuable discussion around workforce sustainability and sector growth. It was a great opportunity to connect, share insights, and stay across the latest industry developments.

FuturePlace Childcare Real Estate Summit – May 2025

Our QLD Director Hilary Knights attended the 2nd FuturePlace Childcare Real Estate Summit in Sydney. It was a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with industry colleagues from across Australia, meet new operators, and engage in some truly thought-provoking conversations. From the future of childcare to the critical role collaboration plays between landlords, developers, and operators – the summit highlighted just how important it is to work together to deliver high-quality early education environments.

Fraser Foundation Annual Charity Luncheon: October 2024

Childcare Concepts was incredibly proud to sponsor the Fraser Foundation annual Charity Luncheon and want to congratulate them on hosting such a fantastic event! It was an amazing day, and thanks to everyone’s efforts, over $160,000 was raised to support future early childhood teachers. Members of our Childcare Concepts team all have an intrinsic link to childcare, and we want to do our part in supporting educators to fulfill their dreams and becoming lifelong leaners. A huge shoutout to the Fraser Foundation for their incredible work—what an achievement!

ACA QLD Approved Providers’ Luncheon: June 2024

The 2024 Australian Childcare Alliance Queensland Approved Providers Luncheon was another outstanding success, with 180 operators gaining an update on the sector. We’re so proud to sponsor this event for 6 years running, since its inception in 2018! It was a great opportunity for the Childcare Concepts team to catch up with many of our current clients, past vendors and purchasers during the event and over the conference weekend too!

Well done as always ACA Qld – we love being part of such a valuable forum specifically for Approved Providers.

Approved Providers Luncheon: 12th April 2024

CCC Qld proudly supported ACA Qld’s Approved Provider luncheon on 12th April 2024, The Star Gold Coast. The event was a huge success thanks to quality presenters Paul Mondo, ACA’s National President, Phil Henry of Business Geographics and Alina Dan of Holistic Management.  The event provided valuable insights and great networking opportunities for the many Approved Providers who attended representing services right across Qld.

Last Friday the Childcare Concepts team came together to spend a fun day cruising Sydney Harbour to celebrate an incredible year of sales across QLD, NSW and Victoria.
 
We also had a strategy session to review what we do exceptionally well for our clients – whether acting for our vendors or for our buyers and of course to make exciting plans for next year and expand our reach even further.

Stay tuned as we introduce a number of new initiatives in 2024 to ensure we are the sector’s first choice for listing or purchasing your centre or group of centres nationally.

AIBB 2023 Conference: August 2023

Great to attend the Australian Institute of Business Brokers 2023 Conference to get an update on the state of the market and all things brokerage. Team building exercises were a lot of fun and Keynote Speaker Steven Bradbury was a highlight – so motivational & super funny especially sharing his own beer brand with the audience!

Childcare Concepts was so proud to be a part of today’s ACA QLD Approved Providers’ Luncheon at the ACA National Conference 2023.
 
With panel members Justin Coulson, Andrew Griffiths, Rebecca Storck and Kelly Goodsir, it was a fantastic event all round. Congrats Australian Childcare Alliance Queensland on another successful owners’ luncheon event for owners & operators— no. 5!
